ようがない means no method exists, not that you are unwilling

Kowaresugite ite, naoshiyō ga nai.

It is too far gone to repair.

Iiyō ga nai hodo ureshii desu.

I am happier than I can say.

With ほど it turns into emphasis rather than complaint
