Welcome to WordQuest, operated by SolanaLink ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at https://wordquest.solanalink.jp(the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

2. Description of Service

WordQuest is an educational platform designed for students learning Japanese for JLPT preparation. Our Service provides:

• 146 comprehensive vocabulary courses (Course あ through Course 145)
• 2,884 vocabulary words with Chinese translations
• 134 grammar patterns covering JLPT N5 and N4 levels
• 35 practice exercises including listening dialogues and reading passages
• Interactive flashcards with audio pronunciation
• Study management tools including study strategies, progress tracking, and vocabulary watchlist
• User authentication and personalized learning experiences
• Community features and social sharing capabilities

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You can register using:

• Google OAuth 2.0
• Twitter/X OAuth 2.0

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

5.3 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or submit through the Service (such as study notes, watchlist items, or shared achievements). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Our Service integrates with third-party services including:

• Google OAuth: For authentication and sign-in
• Twitter/X OAuth: For authentication and social sharing
• Firebase Analytics: For usage analytics and performance monitoring

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

Currently, WordQuest is offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, we will update these Terms and notify users accordingly. Any future paid services will include clear pricing information and separate payment terms.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in passing the JLPT exam or achieving any specific level of Japanese language proficiency. Learning outcomes depend on individual effort and study habits.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLANALINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
