Explanation:
一类形容词可以直接修饰名词。
とても (很)：用于肯定句。
あまり (不太)：用于否定句。Examples:
辛い 料理が 好きです。
Karai ryouri ga suki desu.
I like spicy food.
An i-adjective goes straight in front of the noun, unchanged
寒い 日は 家に います。
Samui hi wa ie ni imasu.
On cold days I stay home.
Unlike a na-adjective, no な is inserted
新しい パソコンを 買いました。
Atarashii pasokon o kaimashita.
I bought a new computer.
The adjective binds only to the noun right after it
