I walk to the station.

Transport takes で, but walking is 歩いて — never 足で

会社まで 歩いて 十分です。

Kaisha made aruite juppun desu.

It is ten minutes on foot to the office.

The usual way to state a distance — time follows directly

近いですから、歩いて 帰ります。

Chikai desu kara, aruite kaerimasu.

It is close, so I will walk home.

歩いて attaches to any motion verb: 行く, 来る, 帰る
