Mō tabemashita ka.
Have you eaten already?
もう with the past form asks whether it is done
もう遅いですから、帰ります。
Mō osoi desu kara, kaerimasu.
It is late already, so I will head home.
It also modifies an adjective: already that far
もうお金がありません。
Mō okane ga arimasen.
I have no money left.
もう with a negative means none left
