〜にもまして

今年(ことし)は例年(れいねん)にもまして暑(あつ)いです。

Kotoshi wa reinen ni mo mashite atsui desu.

This year is hotter than the usual run of years.

にもまして means more than that, where that was already high

以前(いぜん)にもまして忙(いそが)しくなりました。

Izen ni mo mashite isogashiku narimashita.

I have become busier than before.

Against より, it implies the baseline was already high

何(なに)にもまして は最上級(さいじょうきゅう)の言い方(いいかた)です。

Nani ni mo mashite wa saijōkyū no iikata desu.

何にもまして is the superlative form of it.

It means more than anything, naming what you value most
