〜ながら（も）

狭いながらも、楽しい我が家です。

Semai nagara mo, tanoshii wagaya desu.

Cramped though it is, it is a happy home.

ながらも is the written concessive, calmer than のに

残念ながら、今回は見送ります。

Zannen nagara, konkai wa miokurimasu.

Regrettably, we will pass this time.

残念ながら is the set opening of a business refusal

動作の ながら とは接続が違います。

Dōsa no nagara to wa setsuzoku ga chigaimasu.

It differs in attachment from the simultaneous ながら.

The simultaneous one takes only a verb stem; the concessive also takes adjectives and nouns
