英語(えいご)はもちろん、中国(ちゅうごく)語(ご)も話(はな)せます。

はもちろん states the obvious one; the weight is on what is added

味(あじ)はもちろん、見た目(みため)もきれいです。

Aji wa mochiron, mitame mo kirei desu.

The taste goes without saying, and it looks beautiful too.

Praising with it lets you cover two things at once

後(うし)ろに助詞(じょし)を一(ひと)つ伴(ともな)うのが普通(ふつう)です。

Ushiro ni joshi o hitotsu tomonau no ga futsū desu.

It normally comes with one particle after it.

Without も the sense of addition does not come through
